Handango had a nice thing going there for a while -- Free App Friday, where they gave away a free license to a selected piece of software each week. Unfortunately they discontinued the program in 2008, so I don't have much (any?) reason to go back to their site at all now since they don't seem to carry any freeware.

But I did luck out in December 2007 and got a free license for Fizz Weather, which is a slick app that allows you to select multiple city regions to download weather stats (1-day, 10-day, etc) and other reports for any or all of your selected cities. It's got a great interface.
