Get rid of the annoying 'SMS Sent' message

Tagged:

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings

You will need to CREATE a new key value, of a DWORD type. Its name will be "SMSNoSentMsg" and its value will be "1"

This key name will likely not already exist.

I too am having an issue trying to get this to work as it seems i do not have a settings folder under my Inbox section. Is this possible located somewhere else in the reg?

As a temp fix I have found that under settings/Accessibility u can select a confirmation time out of 5 seconds, which will remove the message from the screen after of course 5 seconds. I'm still searching for an alternative fix.

The post did originally say you need to create a new key/value pair within the "settings" branch, but I've reworded the posting to make it more clear that the "SMSNoSentMsg" key likely does not already exist and needs to be created.

Fortunately, creating a new key value is very simple in CeRegEditor and many other editors as well.

I understand I need to create the Key value for the "SMSNoSentMsg" but the issue is since i don't have the Settings folder, do i need to place this somewhere else or do i need to actually create this settings sub folder? Currently my REG Looks like this when I navigate to the Inbox folder of the REG:

Inbox
-SendDriver
-Svc
---ActiveSync
-------MsgClasses
---IMAP4
-------MsgClasses
---POP3
-------MsgClasses
---SMS
-------MsgClasses
-------Rules

SO the question is since i dont have the settings folder, do i create one?

User error, some days i need more coffee to function then others. I got it to work now, thanks!
