Here's a compilation of my favorite registry hacks for the Samsung Blackjack 2. Keep in mind that messing with the registry will, at worst, require you to perform a hard reset of your phone, losing all of your data, programs, and contact information. You'll never "brick" your phone by messing with the registry where you shouldn't.

Now, I shouldn't HAVE to remind you to use the "Save As" operation to keep a backup copy of your BJ2 registry, but I will, 'cause messing with the registry in *any* Windows system can really cause some grief if you mess something up.

Some of these I've found on my own, others have been compiled here from numerous other sources for your convenience.

To get started, you'll need a registry editor. I recommend using CeRegEditor, available at http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-ceregeditor.html.

The program installs on your desktop/laptop (not your BJ2). Then, plug your BJ2 into the PC via USB, then load the software. Click the 'connect' icon in the software on your PC and it will load the registry from your phone.

Hit CTRL-F to start a 'Find' (search) operation, type in a phrase, select 'Value Data" so all three checkboxes are set (key names, value names, value data), select the radio button for searching the 'Entire Registry', and click 'Start Search' to being looking for your search term.

Once you make your changes, click the 'save' icon, unplug your BJ2 and reboot your phone to see your changes take effect.
